Which Rains size am I?
Measure your chest and find the closest number in the chart. For example, a chest of 88.9 cm matches Rains size M most closely. If you sit between two sizes, the larger one is usually the safer choice for a comfortable fit.
How to measure for a Rains size
Use a soft tape measure, keep it level and snug without pulling it tight, and measure over thin clothing or underwear.
- Chest: around the fullest part, under the arms, with the tape level all the way round.
- Waist: around the narrowest part of your torso for tops, or where your trousers sit for bottoms.
- Hip: around the fullest part of your hips and seat, feet together.
- Inseam: from the crotch down the inside of the leg to where you want the hem, or copy it from trousers that fit.

Is the Rains size chart in cm or inches?
Rains publishes its chart in inches. This page shows every measurement in both centimetres and inches, so use whichever your tape measure reads.
Does Rains run small or large?
It depends on the garment and on you, which is why the chart matters more than the label. Rains size M is made for a chest of about 88.9 cm. Compare that with your own chest measurement rather than the size you usually wear elsewhere.
What if I am between two Rains sizes?
Check which measurement matters most for the garment: chest for tops, waist and inseam for trousers. If you are still between sizes, go up for a relaxed fit or down for a closer one.
